Ugh, I hated book 2 of the Twilight series so much I never even bothered to read it completely.  I read 1 and 4 though, and maybe 75% of 3.  I guess the reason why I could take reading 1 and 4 completely was because of the novelty of it all.  2 and 3 just sort of depressed me :/

So.

Transformers showed a couple of times this vacation :D  Watched 4 and a half times.  Caught Pirates of the Carribean 3 thrice on TV but only watched half, twice (which still doesn't count as one).  Spiderman 3, half, twice.

Hmm, something new then.  True Lies (starring Gov. Arnie and Lindsay Lohan's mom in Freaky Friday).  I really get a kick out of Arnold Swarz, Swarcz, Swa- the Governor's one-liners.  In this movie, he was piloting a Harrier fighter jet and had the bad guy stuck in the front end of one of his missiles, he then proceeds to target the helicopter full of henchmen with the missile and says:

You're fired.

Get Smart was cool too, I'm not that big a fan of Steve Carell but the Rock and Anne Hathaway made the movie worthwhile watching XD  It's like an American version of Johnny English and Pink Panther but it has THE SCORPION KING/DOOM WHAT MORE CAN ONE ASK FOR (oh yeah, and that big wrestler guy I saw in WWE before, wrestling with someone half his size XD).  And I think one of the bad guys in Get Smart was in Wanted too XD

But getting back to Wanted, HOW OLD IS ANGELINA JOLIE ANYWAY WTF?!  Were those Dragon tats o.o

I could feel half of the audience, no screw that, THE ENTIRE audience, break into a sweat when she stood up to get her towel.

Bought an OUCH Mouse (P450 YIKES) Lexma Laser mouse thingie.  I can use the back of my hand as a mousepad!  Or my knee!  It's a pity I have to keep a close watch on where the laser is pointed though, "DO NOT POINT TO EYES DIRECTLY OR YOU DIE", or something very similar, is printed on the box.  Gone are the days of looking at the mouse's cute, err, underbelly.

Turns out my going upstairs and sleeping in my own room to-avoid-getting-the-rest-of-the-family-sick-as-well (back when your master was sick a few weeks ago before school) was just the first phase of my family's sinister plot to get me to start sleeping in my own room.  AND I WAS A WILLING SUBJECT XD

I listened (note, not "watched") to a few videos on Youtube (in particular, sounded like Best Trailer Music or something like that, and the individual songs which were up over at the tube already) which led me to acquiring certain tracks via Limewire (NOOO FORGIVE ME PIRACY FOR I HAVE SINNED).  Justification: can't find them anywhere XD Thank you again Mr. Excuse Guy!

I've been stranded at home for the last, hmm, 2 weeks, I think.  Not that I'm complaining about bumming at home XD  But being sick during vacation is definitely not the way to spend your summer :/

First was my mouth thing of 2 weeks ago.  Then on the second visit to the doctor, it turns out something different hit me as well (that was last week). Then this morning I woke up with a terrible cold.  My usual 15 minute sneeze-fest every morning was extended to, hmm, 6 hours?  SUUUuure, it's less frequent but DAMN it's not nice to be sneezing the moment you get up until the moment you, err, blog. Yeah.

So anyway, haven't been posting because I had to disinfect everything I touched the past week.  So that was whenever I touched the keyboard, the mouse, my medicine, doorknobs, and the freaking TV remote T_T  Cleaning a workstation is not a short endeavor.

Suffice to say that the couch was my best friend for the past 2 weeks.  It's a lot easier to wipe a remote with alcohol than to wipe the keyboard, mouse, desk, floor, WINDOWS, BLINDS SPRAY THE AIR OMFG.

Yep, I have now experienced being a couch potato.  Ew wait, potato = carbs!

I never want to have a meal like the one I had last week, when my eating problem was at its worst.  Breakfast Champorado, Lunch Lugaw, and Dinner Arrozcaldo.  Suuuuure, it was a lot easier to eat since I didn't have to chew anything, but RICE?!?!!?  And SALT ON THE WOUND?!!?!?

Rice is bad.  I want a cookie! :/  No salt! XD

Oh yeah, apologies for last last weekend's overenthusiastic post about 300.  Turns out my sense of time was off, 300 only showed last Sunday 9 pm XD

And I have watched it 4 times already ever since.  It's funny how many scenes were cut, reminds me of the time Crank was showing (starring Jason Statham) and every 10 seconds they had to TOOT the sounds XD

I was experiencing one of those terribly-bored-phases two days ago so I made a vid.  Logged in to my Hellgate: London account, took an hour worth of video (FRAPS).  Yep, IMO the game's dead.  Wait, that's not correct.  The Southeast Asia SERVER is dead.  Nothing much for you to do once you hit the level cap of 50 except farm and PVP if the server's still stuck w/o the new areas and monsters and subscription features etc that US and Europe servers already had for waaaaaaayy back.  And ever since people started getting sick of repetitive farming and starting new characters, they've been quitting like crazy.  When I went to the chat channel where around 10-20 people used to actively talk, only 2 names I recognized were there.

So in the tradition of my quitting-a-game-that-used-to-be-fun-for-me, I made a video!  Makes sense doesn't it?

Yeah the quality sucks.  High graphic requirements + FRAPS = terrible lag, so I had to cut the clips' screen sizes by half.  Experimented a bit with timing, etc.  SO ANYWAY.  I have something productive to show for the summer! XD

Yay for Summer GEs!  I now have two Uno GEs, which means I can die happy!  And I got higher than I expected in my Kas 2, from what I've heard we'd have been lucky to get a line of 2 but I check CRS one day and O_O WTF 1.5 WHEEEEEEEE.  Maybe it was because we were taking the class during summer, Sir Neil Santillan really wasn't as bad as his reputation suggests.  At least I never got bored in his class so that's two thumbs up immediately from me. :P

I had another one of those Wikipedia sessions yesterday.  Having just watched Predator, I did a search on the good ol' Governator, read his page, clicked on a few of his movies, one of his co-actors sounded familiar, who turned out to have acted in another movie that sounded familiar, whose main character was acted by another famous actor, who acted in another movie with another co-actor who voiced the video game version of the character in the movie.

Yes.  Somehow a search for the Predator film got me into a search on the monsters of the Doom (and Doom 3) series, leading to a search for Heretic (a game based on the earlier Doom engines which I remember playing when I was a little kid), which led to a search for some of the games that I played before.

It wasn't long before I got led to the Starcraft 2 site and started reading "The Story So Far" parts 1 and 2. T_T

And before I knew it it was time for dinner already and I had successfully procrastinated the entire day away without doing a single thing for my acads.

After dinner I decided to make a new set of rules, which will hopefully improve my attention capacity on acads and improve focus.

New rule number 1:  When about to do non-computer requirement, DON'T TURN THE COMPUTER ON.

New rule number 2:  When about to do computer requirements but don't need the internet, TURN THE NET EFFING OFF.

New rule number 3:  When about to do computer requirements that need internet, and specifically, Wikipedia: cry.

Rule number 3 needs a little work.

Hmm.

I just thought about it; this post is freaking ironic by itself since I'm still putting off my acad work just to post.  T_T

So, to cut it short.  I got 9 units, Bio 1, ES 21 and IE 3.  BIO 1 IS MINE WOOOOHOOO!!!

Since I took both ME 63 and ES 26 in advance last sem, and since I've resolved to never again take majors in advance (or in other words, serve as guinea pig for the batch) because of the former, I have a sort-of-problem.  If I can get ES 12 (yes, I started praying yesterday 300 DEMAND FOR 2 FREAKIN SLOTS WTF?!?!) I'll be at 12 units = underload.

Hmm, maybe I can finish all my GEs this sem... If I take one SSP and one more MST.  Thinking of Philo 11 and Envi Sci 1 or STS, I'll be done, and that'll be 18 units.

I love typing out loud my problems, helps me think (and spam).

Long time no post.  As usual...

I SURVIVED THE SEM!  In pieces.  Namely my first major evarr, ME 63 Thermodynamics (which was a load of Bul... err, wonderful concepts and ideas!) , and the infamous Onse offered by our beloved ES Department.

As a whole, I think the problem of 11 was that it took a lot of students by surprise. All of a sudden here was a subject that needed time to be set aside during free periods for practice solving. And looking back, it was a good thing I realized that going to class every session and not bothering to read the book was not cutting it (seeing as my second long exam score was half that of my first exam XD).

So I passed 11 YAY!

And after 63, I resolved to do one thing. Never again will I be the guinea pig for the rest of our batch. Or in calmer terms, NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE NO MORE ADVANCED SUBJECTS NEVER EVER UNLESS I'M DRAGGED INTO DOING SO AND IF I AM IT'LL BE OVER MY DEAD BODY KICKING yes.

There is no grade lovelier than a 3.0.

Especially since, when I was able to get my 5 exam scores for 63 and calculated, I thought I was a goner for sure.  I looked at my calculator in horror, at the number displayed there... 90% in the finals just to pass. T_T  AND when we got the sched, it was on the same day as the 11 exam (which was 1-4) at 4-6. So, yeah. I thought I'd go /wrist the night before the exams.

But for some reason, (I'm thinking it's pity, but hoping that it's a sign for better things to come) the ME dep made the final exam one-tenth the difficulty of a long exam.  Okay maybe one-ninth.

So once again, your favorite LJ ranter has lucked out on his academic life. (recall: Math 55 rant of last sem)

Okay I know I told Someone up there every night before going to sleep that I wouldn't brag about passing if I passed (after the numerous please's), and I hope there won't be any repercussions for me doing so but it's just one time and please I really won't do it again please please please :D

Oh noes. I hope CRS got it right and won't be changing that grade anytime soon. >.< I only found out about both grades yesterday when I went to UP to help my sisters out (manpower), went to the ES dep and saw our section's 11 grade there. Finally. T_T (Prof said it'd be up by Monday, went there last Tuesday for a rehearsal and checked during break and it wasn't up yet).

Then I went to ME dep, Prof was eating lunch BUT NO! I AM TEH HERE AND I NEED THAT GRADE! Told me that they were submitting the grades to CRS later that day (subtext: I'm eating lunch don't bug me) and I should just check tomorrow (subtext: GTFO). Probably got pissed OH REALLY?!

So a few hours later, when my sisters wanted to drop by Starbucks Katipunan (the one nearer Bo's) for a drink, I grabbed her phone (whose browser owns my phone's browser) before she got down from the car and checked. (Not to mention I had already checked 10000000000 times before that) For some reason, this time was different, when the page opened my heart sort of pinched itself. I closed my eyes as I scrolled down, then slowly scrolled up to the ME 63 grade and then WTF I HAS A GRADE!

One button press up AND HOLY SHEET DO YOU KNOW THE LOWER HALF OF THE NUMBER 3 LOOKS LIKE THAT OF A 5 WTF HEART ATTACK but of course I didn't think about that at the time. So I spammed the up button and stared in shock for a full second, speechless.

HELL YEAH! FIST-PUMPING ACTION! Well, the fist that didn't have a fragile piece of techology clutched tightly, which was my left. Err, my right fist had the phone, so my left fist was the one doing the, errr, fist-pumping.  Yeah.

I got out of the car, ran inside Starbucks and told the world my story (actually talking TO my sisters but you know what happens if you're so excited and talk so loudly). Afterwards, my sisters told me that the baristas and a few of the customers were staring but WTF WHO CARES I FREAKING PASSED YAHOOOOOOOOO

And so it ends. We were supposed to get wasted last night after dropping by Manila Pen to get my sister's gowns from the dry-cleaners in time for the show today. Unfortunately, the entire world found out about our plans and wanted to ruin it, they all went out simultaneously and crammed the streets of EDSA and C5 with cars. So, no wasting aww WTF WHO CARES I FREAKING PASSED HAHAHAHAHA
